Why #VoteLibraries

VoteLibraries is a public-facing campaign intended to support local stakeholders who plan and run library Yes vote committees. In 2014, nearly 200 communities across the country had library ballot measures before the voters. Over $340 million was at stake last year on those measures. In 2015, we anticipate about 125 campaigns and $270 million in library funding (similar to 2013). While EveryLibrary is proud of our direct support for 25 of those campaigns, we are very serious about supporting the entire library ballot ecosystem. Our vision is that “Any library measure anywhere should matter to every library everywhere”. VoteLibraries helps us fulfill our mission at a new scale.
